Nwajiuba revealed that he sold yams and got donations from friends to raise the N100m.

The former Minister of State for Education explained to newsmen in Abuja that about 3,150 Nigerians contributed money and yams to purchase his forms.

He said: “I have members of the House of Representatives from 1992 who endorsed me, even before they contributed money. Some have paid N1,000 each.

“One man from Nasarawa gave me 150 yams from his farm to sell. People are investing with the hope that there may be a new Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, a source has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s preferred candidate in the upcoming 2023 election is Ogbonnaya Onu.

An insider source informed the Leadership on Monday, May 23, that the former minister of science, technology and innovation, Ogbonnaya Onu, could just be President Muhammadu Buhari’s preferred presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
