In an emotional Instagram post, she shared the deep pain of losing him and how much she misses him.
Wunmi reflected on their unfulfilled plans and dreams but found comfort in their son, Liam, who according to her, carries Mohbad’s kindness, smile, and spirit.
She vowed to raise Liam with the love and care Mohbad would have shown, keeping his memory alive.
Wunmi expressed her gratitude for the time they had together and the gift of their son.
She therefore prayed for Mohbad’s soul, asking God to forgive his shortcomings and welcome him to eternal rest.
She wrote: “llerioluwa mi, husband of my youth, my best friend! It’s been a year today year since you left me and our Liam in this cold world. It’s been so hard. I miss you so much. Liam misses you too. I wish you were here to see him; you would have been an incredible father. I still don’t know how I’ve survived without you. God, I wish you were here every single day, every millisecond of the day. Your passing brought me unbearable pain, but it has also shaped me. I’ve learned so much, and I’m still learning.
“I’ll never be okay with you not being here; it messes with my head. I keep thinking it’s a nightmare I’ll wake up from, but 366 days have passed, and I haven’t. Oko mi, we had so many plans together, and you had so much more to give to this world. It hurts deeply to know that all our dreams, everything you worked so hard for, are now gone with you. I want you to know that Liam and I are holding on to the strength and love you gave us. Every day, I see pieces of you in him-your kindness, smile, and spirit. I promise to raise him with the same love and care you would have given him, keeping your memory alive in every step of his life. But today, I choose to celebrate you.
“Today, I choose to honour your legacy. Today, I choose to give all glory to God for blessing me with you, llerioluwa. Today, I choose to honour your legacy. Today, I choose to give all glory to God for blessing me with you, llerioluwa. Today, I choose to be grateful for the gift of Liam- the beauty of our ashes. My love, I pray for your soul today. I ask that God forgive you of all your shortcomings and welcome you to rest at His right hand. I hope it’s always a celebration up there for you. I love you so much. Thank you for Liam-I’m forever grateful for the gift of him! She wrote, “Fly high with the angels, love of my life”.

Chidimma Adetshina Triumphs As Miss Universe Nigeria After South African Rejection
Chidimma Adetshina has emerged winner of Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant, after xenophobic backlash forced her withdrawal from a South African pageant.
The 23-year-old law student came to Nigeria afterwards, accepting to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant competition.
Guy Murray-Bruce, President of Silverbird Group, organisers of the competition, announced Adetshina as the winner at the grand finale which held at Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos, on Saturday night.
The competition had a total of 25 participants.
Miss Adetshina, earlier stated in an interview with ARISE NEWS, that she believed that her being invited to take part in Miss Universe Nigeria is a second chance given to her to achieve one of her biggest dreams and goals, which is pageantry.
Adetshina said, “I am so excited, I just feel like this is a second chance in achieving one of my biggest dreams and my biggest goals, and I’m really excited. I’ve always wanted to be a model, I wasn’t really educated on pageantry and all of that.
“When I first knew what pageantry was, it was in 2017, and that’s when I told myself I want to be the next Miss Universe. So, for me, it’s just a thing of I had goals and I set them for myself, and I’m here to achieve them. So, I think I’m just aligning with what I’ve always wanted to do, and I’m really grateful for that.”
However, when asked if she would have participated in the pageant if she was not invited, she said, “No, I wouldn’t, because I wouldn’t have known if I was able to. And also, it has been long since I’ve been here (Nigeria). But I also saw the comments and I was like, maybe this is something I should try out, but then, obviously, the invitation came out and I was really excited that I was given that opportunity, so that’s why I took it as quick as possible.”
Despite that, she said, “Ever since I’ve gotten here, I’ve only received so much love and encouragement from all of the girls. So, I came in here thinking that a lot of them will feel some type of way about the invitation and about me actually coming, but I can guarantee the words of encouragement, the support I’ve been given by these amazing women has been there, and I’m just really happy that they accept me, and that they are not feeling some type of way after receiving all the critiques and the comments about this advantage that people might feel that I might have had.

Lizzy Anjorin Speaks On Romantic Affair With Toyin Abraham’s Husband
Lizzy Anjorin, the ever-controversial and outspoken actress, has taken to social media to fiercely deny explosive infidelity allegations made by popular Yoruba blogger Esther Aboderin, known as Esabod.
As the internet buzzed with rumors, Lizzy addressed the accusations directly in a no-holds-barred Facebook live session on Wednesday, August 28.
In this unfiltered broadcast, she confronted the scandalous claim that she was involved in an affair with Kolawole Ajeyemi, the husband of Toyin Abraham—a fellow Nollywood actress with whom she has often clashed.
“Concerning the rumour that is being spread that Toyin and Kolawole’s marriage is facing challenges, I am not interested. Whatever happens is their problem. It does not affect my life. Whoever wants to do evil should continue. Disregard all the information,” she said.
With a steely gaze and a voice full of defiance, Lizzy firmly declared that the accusations were baseless and outright lies. She left no room for doubt, boldly denying any romantic involvement with Kolawole, insisting that the idea was both far-fetched and fabricated.
Delving deeper, she dissected Kolawole’s character with surgical precision, describing him as a gentle and unassuming man who would never have the audacity to proposition her.
But Lizzy didn’t stop there—she made it even more personal, dismissing Kolawole as someone not in her league. With confident swagger, she declared that she has never slept with any male colleague in the industry.
She boldly challenged anyone—critics, colleagues, or her fiercest detractors—to present proof against her. Confident in her innocence, she urged the public to investigate, knowing they would find nothing to support the scandalous claims.
