The daughter of former EFCC chairman, Nuhu Ribadu, Fatima has tied the knot with her heartthrob, son of ex-vice president, Atiku Abubakar, Aliyu in grand style with the attendance of prominent political guests ranging from Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Governor Aminu Tambuwal and many others.

The wedding between Fatima Nuhu Ribadu and Aliyu Atiku Abubakar took place at Mabilla Street, Aso drive Abuja today, October 3, 2020.

The wedding is currently holding at Asokoro, Abuja despite the perceived political differences between the two prominent persons from Adamawa State.

EFCC To Arraign Cubana Chief Priest For Abuse Of Naira

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has filed a three-count charge against Cubana Chief Priest, a popular Instagram celebrity, who has been accused of abusing the naira, Nigeria’s currency at a social event contrary to the provisions of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

Cubana, real name Pascal Okechukwu, is expected to be arraigned on Wednesday, April 17, before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Channels Television obtained a copy of the charge which was filed on April 4th by EFFC’s prosecutor Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN) alongside seven other lawyers representing the chairman of the Commission.

In Count 1, it was alleged, “that you, Okechukwu Pascal on 13th Feb. 2024, at Eko Hotel, within the jurisdiction of the court, while dancing during a social event, tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying same for two hours, and you thereby committed an offence, contrary to and punishable under Section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act 2007”.

In count 2, it was alleged, “that you Okechukwu Pascal sometime in 2020, in Lagos during a social event, tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying same for two hours, and you thereby committed an offence, contrary to and punishable under Section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act 2007”.

In Count 3, it was alleged, “that you Okechukwu Pascal sometime in January 2024, in Lagos during a social event, tampered with funds in the denomination of N500 (Five Hundred Naira) issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying same and you thereby committed an offence, contrary to and punishable under Section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act 2007”.

This is coming days after the EFCC arraigned controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye better known as Bobrisky on similar charges for which he was sentenced to a six-month jail term.

Cubana Chiefpriest Breaks Silence Following EFCC Impending Arrest

In the recent development following the EFCC releasing a statement on Cubana Chief Priest, the popular media personality has broken his silence.

Recall that earlier yesterday, it was reported that the EFCC had released a statement which detailed the fact that Cubana Chief Priest will be charged to court on Wednesday for alleged money laundering and misuse of funds.

They further shared the specific video which caught their attention. In this video which has since gone viral on social media, he is seen throwing heavy wads of naira notes at a celebrant. This particular disregard for the naira was what piqued the curiosity of the EFCC and got them to submit a case against him.

Now following all of these charges leveled against him, Cubana Chief Priest took to his Instagram story to break the silence.

 

He shared a casual laid back picture of himself with a thank you sign which netizens hinted at the fact that he is doing okay.

Also recall that a few weeks back, popular cross-dresser Bob Risky had been arrested by the police and by the EFCC for money laundering and also misuse of funds.

In subsequent weeks since his arrest, he has been sentenced to 6 months of imprisonment without bail. Netizens continue to be hopeful that he will be released before the 6 month period.

Governor Umo Eno has ordered the exhumation of late makeup artist Abigail Federick body from River Niger.

JomogNews reports that the executive governor of Akwa Ibom State pastor Umo Eno has ordered the exhumation of the late makeup artist body Abigail Federick who was buried at the bank of River Niger over inability of her family to pay N150,000 demanded for ritual to the river goddess.

Mr. Akaniyene Tommey the chairman Eket Local Government Transition Committee told the Family during his condolence visit.

According to him, “His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno has directed that her body be brought back to her family for a proper and decent burial as government was not informed of the circumstances that led to her quick burial.”
