The emotional reunion, reported by JomogNews follows Jumoke’s heartfelt plea on Biola Adebayo’s “Talk to B” podcast, where she revealed the pain of losing contact with her daughter and her struggles with homelessness and health issues.

Biola Adebayo shared on Instagram that Adeola had been located in Mali but was initially unresponsive.

On Monday, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), announced Adeola’s safe return to Nigeria, facilitated by the commission.

Adeola was warmly received by Dabiri-Erewa, alongside Biola Adebayo who brought the story to light, and actor Adeniyi Johnson.

Dabiri-Erewa praised their humanitarian efforts, stating, “Adeola, daughter of popular actress Jumoke George, who cried out that she had not heard from her daughter in four years, is back home from Mali, where she was trafficked.”

Biola also wrote on Instagram: “VICTORY AT LAST! ADEOLA IS FINALLY BACK HOME.

“I just want to say thank you to everyone that helped, I couldn’t have done this without your supports. Thank you Nigerians. Thank you to my dearest mummy Honorable Abike Dabiri abikedabiri. Thank you to miss Yakubu Oyiza Hope @lunaoyiza oh you did so well and I’m grateful for your help. Thank you to my dear brother @adeniyijohnson you’re indeed a rare gem”.

Jumoke had shared that Adeola, her first child, was living with her grandmother in Ibadan before she went missing after planning to travel to Lagos.

Adeola later contacted her mother, apologising and explaining she had left Nigeria with friends seeking better opportunities, only to face dire circumstances abroad.
