According to OyoInside, eyewitnesses reported that the stray bullet from the policeman who shot at a moving vehicle being chased by a police team along Gbagi Market Road in Ibadan, hit the innocent student on his father’s motorcycle.

Sympathisers immediately rushed the student to Welfare Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

JomogNews reports that angry protesters consequently took the corpse of the victim to the State Secretariat to inform Governor Seyi Makinde.

Spokesman of Oyo State Police Command, Adewale Osifeso, was yet to respond to the calls and message sent to his phone line by our correspondent at the time of filing this report.
