Just In: Gov. Fubara Appoints New SSG, Chief Of Staff

Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed Dr Dagogo Wokoma as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Barrister Sunny Ewule as Chief of Staff.

According to a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, the two appointments take immediate effect.

The statement said Fubara will swear in the duo this Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Executive Council Chamber of Government House, Port Harcourt, by 2:00pm.

These changes follow the Governor’s recent dissolution of his cabinet on February 12, 2026, and are viewed as part of a broader administrative repositioning following reconciliation efforts in the state’s ongoing political crisis.
