UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stepped down from his position and resigned as leader of the Labour Party.
Delivering a statement outside 10 Downing Street on Monday, Starmer defended his record, asserting that his actions in office were always guided by the best interests of the country.
“Every decision I have made has been about putting the country I love first,” he said.
Starmer also used the moment to thank his family.
He described his wife, Vic, as his rock, and expressing love for his children, whom he called his pride and joy.
