President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos to begin his end-of-year holiday. His arrival concludes a three-state tour that included visits to Borno and Bauchi.

The President was received at the presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, government officials and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress.

In Borno state, Tinubu commissioned projects executed by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum in collaboration with the Federal Government.

While in Maiduguri, the President also attended the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.

From Borno, Tinubu proceeded to Bauchi State, where he paid a condolence visit to the state government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late renowned Islamic cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who died on November 27.

After the condolence visit, the President has arrived Lagos where he is expected to engage in several activities during the holiday period.

Among his engagements, Tinubu is scheduled to attend the Eyo Festival on December 27 as the guest of honour.

The festival, to be held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, will celebrate prominent personalities, including the President’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as late former Lagos State Governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
