Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has taken to social media to flaunt her newly acquired mansion in Lagos, days after reports of a crisis with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Sharing photos of the luxurious property on Instagram on Sunday, October 26, 2025, the actress wrote: “In my house I am a Queen! I needed a roof over my head so I got this for me and my family.”

The post comes just days after Regina trended online when a video of her in tears surfaced, in which she allegedly claimed she could no longer tolerate domestic violence.

The clip immediately set social media buzzing, sparking conversations about the state of her marriage to Senator Nwoko.

Responding to the allegations, Senator Nwoko released a statement via his Instagram page denying any claims of abuse. He instead alleged that the actress had been struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, which he said contributed to what he described as “aggressive behaviour.”

The controversy has since sparked conversations online, with some expressing sympathy for the actress and others urging caution over the circulating videos.

Neither Regina nor Nwoko has shared further details beyond their respective posts, leaving the public speculating about the true state of their relationship.

Regina’s recent display of her new property, however, appears to have shifted the conversation. Many social media users interpreted the move as her way of reclaiming control and asserting her independence amid the controversy. Her post, accompanied by smiling pictures and family themed captions, gave an impression of calm and confidence despite the ongoing tension.

The actress, who began her acting career as a child, has grown into one of Nollywood’s most recognisable faces. Over the years, she has featured in numerous films, endorsed top brands, and built a strong social media following.

Her marriage to Senator Nwoko in 2019 made headlines, largely because of the notable age gap between the two. Despite public criticism at the time, the couple appeared to maintain a united front, often sharing photos of their family and lavish lifestyle. They share two children together.

This latest chapter of their relationship, however, marks one of the most public challenges to their marriage. Nwoko’s response and Regina’s subsequent post have fueled discussions about controversies always surrounding marriages.

While the actress has yet to confirm whether the new Lagos mansion will serve as her permanent residence, her caption — emphasising being “a queen” in her own home has been widely viewed as symbolic.

As of Sunday evening, the post had attracted hundreds of thousands of likes and comments from fans and fellow celebrities congratulating her on the new acquisition.
