Veteran Nollywood actress Peju Ogunmola has lost her only child, Ayomikun Oluwasinaayomi. He was 24 years old.

The tragedy occurred on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, while the actress was reportedly on a movie set.

Ayomikun, a singer, was the son of Ogunmola and her husband, the comic actor Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as “Papi Luwe“.

The late son, who was said to be living abroad, died after he reportedly slipped in the bathroom while alone at home.

He had recently completed his mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.

The news was confirmed by fellow actors, including Odunlade Adekola, who shared a tribute on his Instagram page.

Other colleagues, such as Biola Adebayo, Femi Adebayo, and Ibrahim Yekini, have also expressed their grief and offered condolences on social media.

The loss has sent shockwaves through the Nollywood industry, with many describing it as a devastating blow to the Ogunmola-Omobolanle family.
