An Ogun State High Court, sitting in Sagamu, presided over by Justice O.S. Oloyede, has issued an interim order restraining the state government and its agents from demolishing or tampering with the property, belonging to a former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

Justice Oloyede gave the order on Tuesday after an ex parte application submitted by the applicants’ counsel, A.M. Kotoye.

JomogNews reports that the application, dated August 11, was filed by Daniel and his wife, Olufunke.

It was gathered that the respondents are the governor of Ogun State, the state Attorney-General, the State Planning & Development Permit Authority, and the state Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development.

The judge, after the application was moved by Kotoye, barred the respondents and their agents from tampering with or demolishing the property of the applicants.

Justice Oloyede thereafter adjourned hearing on the application for interlocutory injunction to August 19, 2025.
