The Department of State Services, DSS, has reportedly arrested an investigative journalist, Adejuwon Soyinka. He is the Regional Editor of The Conversation Africa.
Soyinka was arrested and taken into custody at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos around 5.40am on Sunday the 25th of August, 2024 shortly after he arrived Nigeria via a Virgin Atlantic flight from the United Kingdom.
No reason has been given for his detention by the security agency.
Soyinka has also not been reachable, as messages and calls to his phone have gone unanswered.
