Suspected political thugs and hoodlums on Monday attacked the campaign train of the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola.
The thugs also attacked the bus of the Correspondent Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) ,which was in the convoy of the governor.
The attack of the Osun NUJ correspondent chapel bus took place at Arapajo area of Gbongan and the hoodlums which attacked the governor’s campaign train also blocked all passing vehicles.
The hoodlums, eyewitnesses explained were armed with axes, pots, stones and sticks.
In the ensuing mayhem, about ten other vehicles were destroyed.
When the NUJ correspondent chapel bus was hit, some occupants of the bus sustained varying degrees of injuries.
