Polygamy: Yul Edochie’s First Wife, May Unfollows Actor On Instagram

The first wife of Yul Edochie, May, has unfollowed her husband on Instagram amid the news of his second marriage to Nollywood actress, Judy Austin.

Following the news which caused a stir on social media on Wednesday, Yul’s wife of 17 years has unfollowed her husband on the social media platform.

Checks by our correspondent on Thursday showed that May no longer follows her husband, though Yul still follows his wife on Instagram.

Yul had on Thursday morning hailed his first wife, May, via an Instagram post, where he said she was his undisputed “number one”.

This came a few hours after Yul went public with his second marriage, adding that his new wife already had a son for him.

May, also reacted to the news, as she called down the judgement of God on the latest couple.

Taking to the comment section of her husband’s announcement post, she wrote, “May God judge you both.”

While announcing his new son, Yul Edochie added that he loves the child as much as he loved his older four children, which he shared with his first wife, May.

Edochie wrote, “It’s time for the world to meet my son. His name is STAR DIKE MUNACHIMSO YUL-EDOCHIE. Born by my second wife, Judy Austin. And I love him so much, just as much as I love my other children.”

The 2022 Edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCA, took place on Saturday night, May 14 in Lagos.

The event was hosted by IK Osakioduwa and South African media personality, Bonang Matheba.

Actress, Osas Ighodaro beat her colleagues Bisola Aiyeola and Bimbo Ademoye to clinch the Best Dressed Female award, while Media personality, Denola Grey beat actor, Deyemi Okanlawon and Ghanaian actor Mawuli Gavor to win the Best Dressed Male award.

Nigerian Movie Blood Sisters Rank 9 On Netflix Globally

Nigeria’s hit movie Blood Sisters ranked number 9 on the Netflix top 10 most-watched movies for the week of May 2-8 2022.

The movie which was released barely a week ago has garnered positive reviews from movie buffs propelling the Netflix film to global acclaim.

According to the latest Netflix ranking of most-watched movies, Blood Sisters ranked number 9 and has attracted about 11,070,000 hours of viewing.

The movie stars heavy-weight actors like Dima-Okojie, Nancy Isime, Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Deyemi Okanlawon, Uche Jombo, etc.

The movie is a limited series listed under the Crime TV Show category. The film is produced by Mo Abudu’s Ebony Live TV Studios. The series has only spent 1 week on the charts.

Nigerian movies have a huge fan base with viewers from all over Africa including Nigerians and Africans living in the diaspora. The rave reviews the movie has attracted coupled with the large African audience may have played a huge part in the viewership.

If the movie keeps up with the momentum it could rise to over 20 million hours of views, however, that will require more publicity and peer-to-peer recommendations.
