400 Years Old Olu of Warri’s Crown Stolen, Police Declares Two Princes Wanted

The Olu of Warri’s crown and symbol of the Itsekiri royalty has been stolen just few weeks before Coronation of the new Olu of Warri-elect.

The royal crown was declared missing days after some interested parties in the succession battle invaded the palace (Aghofe) in the Warri metropolis.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Police Force has declared two sons of the Late Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli Godfrey Emiko, wanted for stealing the royal crown.

Prince Onyowoli Emiko and Prince Omatsuli Emiko are currently wanted for breaking into the private apartment of HRM Olu of Warri and stealing the Royal Crown.

Warrants of Arrest have been issued for both men by a Federal High Court in Benin City, Edo state.

The special police gazzette bulletin declaring both men wanted was issued by the Force Criminal Investigation Department Zone ‘5’ Headquarters, Benin City on the orders of the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali.
