Breaking: Nollywood Actor, Ernest Asuzu Is Dead

The Nigeria movie industry has lost another of its own as Nollywood actor Ernest Asuzu is reportedly dead. Asuzu who suffered stroke few years ago died in the early hours of Wednesday.

His wife was said to have called fellow actor Desmond Elliot to announce the death to him.

The actor’s ill health status flooded the internet space last year, following a viral video of him begging for alms.

He was, however, supported by well meaning Nigerians including the wife of Anambra State Governor, Mrs Willie Obiano.

Asuzu was known for playing criminal, villain, actions and hit man roles in movies alongside with Jim Iyke, Emma Ehumadu and Alaso Wariboko.

Ernest Asuzu began his acting career in the late 90s.

He rose to fame after acting in the Nollywood blockbuster movie, Another Campus Queen.

Governor Umo Eno has ordered the exhumation of late makeup artist Abigail Federick body from River Niger.

JomogNews reports that the executive governor of Akwa Ibom State pastor Umo Eno has ordered the exhumation of the late makeup artist body Abigail Federick who was buried at the bank of River Niger over inability of her family to pay N150,000 demanded for ritual to the river goddess.

Mr. Akaniyene Tommey the chairman Eket Local Government Transition Committee told the Family during his condolence visit.

According to him, “His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno has directed that her body be brought back to her family for a proper and decent burial as government was not informed of the circumstances that led to her quick burial.”

Video: Junior Pope Is Alive – AGN President, Emeka Rollas Confirms

The President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas has confirmed that actor, Junior Pope, who was reportedly to have earlier passed on is still alive.

On his Instagram page, Rollas said the actor is alive and was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

He wrote, “What God cannot do does not exist.
Junior Pope is alive.

“He is taking treatment in the hospital.”

JomogNews reports that filmmaker, Sam Olatunji announced on Wednesday that Junior Pope died alongside three others after their boat capsized while attempting to cross the River Niger to shoot a film.

Junior Pope, Three Other Nollywood Actors Die In Boat Mishap

A Nollywood actor, Pope Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, is dead.

JomogNews platform understands that the actor and three of his colleagues were coming back from a movie location in a boat when their boat capsized in the Anam River in Anambra state.

The news of his death was shared on Wednesday, April 10, by filmmaker, Samuel Olatunji.

Their bodies have since been recovered.

The actor shared a video of himself taken yesterday in a boat and praying frantically to arrive at his destination safely. The accident unfortunately happened on his way back from the location today April 10th.

He was 39 years old.

The actor is survived by his wife and three children. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
