Covid-19: NCDC Records 246 New Cases Of Coronavirus As One Death Is Recorded

One coronavirus death was recorded on Saturday as 246 fresh cases were confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

This has brought the total number of cases in Nigeria to 66,228.
According to the Agency, a total of 61,884 patients have recovered from the disease, adding that death toll has risen to 1,166, Jomog News Nigeria reports.

NCDC noted that the new cases were reported in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with Lagos recording 66 new infections which took its total to 22,902.

Others states with a high number of new cases included Plateau, 63, FCT, 48, Kaduna, 21, Bayelsa, 19 and Rivers, 12.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) stated this in its daily update on Saturday.
The updates also confirmed the death of one and discharge of 102 COVID-19 patients.

The public health agency said that 102 COVID-19 patients were discharged within the period across the country.
