The Inspector General Of Police, Muhammed Adamu has dissolved the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) with immediate effect.
Briefing journalists in his office in Abuja, the IG also directed that all officers serving in SARS formation across the 36 states of the country to be redeployed with immediate effect.
The decision is coming on the heels of protests across the country and some parts of the world with the hashtag #EndSARS to protest the brutality and extra-judicial killing by men of SARS.
