You Can Make It Without A Man – Actress Bimbo Akintola Advises Young Girls
Nollywood actress and media personality Bimbo Akintola has spoken out on how some of her colleagues make more money than others.
In a recent interview, she said she always queries her colleagues about their lavish lifestyle as she isn’t rich. According to her, she said people walk up to her, noting how some of her colleagues are richer, and she makes them know that she isn’t as financially buoyant as they are.
Bimbo noted how some of them sleep with or date politicians to fund their lifestyles, while some come from a rich family.
“Some of the lifestyles we see on social media can be real, and if it’s real, where does it come from? People come up to me and say, look at those actresses. They are very rich, and I tell them that I am now rich.
I still ask them what they do because we know how much they sell films. From a lot of actresses I see, I don’t know if it’s from their rich homes or if there are other businesses they’re doing.
We have heard about actresses dating politicians and all of that, and we know things like that truly happen”.
"I don't know about that because me I am not rich… When you see them (other actresses), ask them what they do… It's not just actresses that do that, women in Nigeria do that"
