See Sotitobire Pastor’s Wife, Loyal Church Members Final Move As Court Seals His Fate Tomorrow
As Chief Magistrate, Mrs Charity Adeyanju, of the Akure Magistrate Court seals the fate of founder and spiritual leader, Sotitobire Miracle Centre Worldwide, aka Prayer University, tomorrow, January 17, 2020, wife of the prophet and other loyal members of the ministry have been making final moves to influence the outcome of the case.
My source in Akure told me that Alfa Babatunde’s wife and few loyal members of the ministry have been on intense fasting and prayers since the day his case was adjourned till 17th of January.
He said, “since there is nothing anyone can do except to call on God, they (wife and those members) have been fasting and praying. There is no one who could influence the decision. It is a very delicate case. Remember, influential people in Akure have been trying to distance themselves since the issue became volatile where a policeman was reportedly killed.”
“I can confirm to you that there is probable tension in his family and among some loyal members of his church as regards tommorow’s case. The prayers had been centered around his release on bail so that he can have time to take care of his deteriorating health.”
“Although, they could not hold meetings under his auditorium located at 46/54 Sholagbade Street, Oshinle, Akure, because it has been sealed by the police but, the group alongside his wife have been meeting secretly to pray for his release.” My source revealed.
We also reliably gathered that the Prophet who has subjected himself to almost everyday fasting is praying among other things that he should be released on bail. His wife has joined him, so also were some of his loyal and dedicated followers.
Prophet Alfa Babatunde and six other members of his church were on Monday, December 23, 2019 remanded at the Olokuta Correctional Centre in Akure over a two-count charge of conspiracy to kidnap and aiding kidnapping of a 13-month-old boy, Gold Kolawole, on November 10, 2019 and their case adjourned till tomorrow pending the outcome of the Department of State Security, DSS, investigation. But now, all that the family and his followers have resulted to is prayer for his bail release

Court Returns Abure As Labour Party National Chairman
A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday returned Julius Abure as the national chairman of the Labour Party, LP.
The court declared the 2024 Labour Party national convention held in Nnewi, which re-elected Abure, is valid, stating that the convention was in line with all laid down laws in Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh.
According to the statement, Justice Emeka Nwite while delivering the judgement, compelled the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to grant due recognition and all privileges to the Labour Party’s National Working Committee as led by Abure.
JomogNews reports that INEC had announced that it did not recognise Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour Party.
The Commission argued that the Abure-led LP leadership was invalid, stating that the March 2024 National Convention that re-elected Abure as chairman violated both the Nigerian Constitution and the Electoral Act.
