The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 1,133 new infections of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, bringing the total figure of infected persons to 80,922.
This new figure was announced on Wednesday night in a tweet via its official Twitter account.
NCDC said Lagos State and FCT recorded 397 and 357 cases, respectively, while Kaduna State followed with 81 cases.
The public health agency also recorded five additional COVID-19 related deaths.
Nigeria now has a total of 80,922 confirmed cases and 1,236 deaths.
