President Bola Tinubu returned to Abuja on Saturday after concluding a two-week diplomatic visit that took him to Saint Lucia and Brazil.
JomogNews Nigeria reports that his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, announced Tinubu’s return via a post on X at about 3:17pm, signaling the end of a significant international engagement aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s global partnerships.
President Tinubu’s trip began in Saint Lucia, where he met with Caribbean leaders to promote bilateral cooperation, with a focus on trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.
The visit underscored Nigeria’s growing interest in deepening ties with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), with discussions reportedly centered on economic diversification and climate resilience—key priorities for both regions.
From Saint Lucia, the President proceeded to Brazil, where he attended high-level meetings to bolster Nigeria’s economic and diplomatic relations with one of South America’s largest economies.
