Popular Nigerian Crossdresser, ‘Area Mama’ Murdered In Abuja

A well-known crossdresser, popularly known as ‘Abuja Area Mama,’ has been found dead in the Banex, Wuse II area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

The body was discovered lying motionless along the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway on Thursday morning, with the crossdresser’s full identity yet to be confirmed.

Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, confirmed the discovery in a statement.

According to Adeh, police officers responded to a distress call from the area and promptly transported the individual to Maitama District Hospital, where medical staff confirmed the person’s death.

She noted that the Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
