A member of the House of Representatives, Ossy Prestige, is dead. The lawmaker, who represented Aba North/South Federal Constituency of Abia State died after a protracted illness.
There had been rumours about his death in the last few days
Prestige was elected on All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) platform.
Reps spokesperson, Benjamin Kalu, confirmed the death to Premium Times.
“He has been confirmed dead by a family member,” Kalu said.
The demise of the lawmaker is expected to be announced on the floor of the Green Chamber on Tuesday.
