A community in Tashar Aibo, Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State is in shock after a young man was reportedly stabbed to death by his wife just three days after they got married.
Residents said the man, known locally as Dan Gaske Mai Masara, was resting at home on Sunday afternoon when the incident happened.
The couple had married on Thursday, November 18, 2025.
According to neighbours, the wife allegedly stabbed him in the neck with a knife while he was asleep.
People in the area described the victim, a popular maize seller, as humble and hard working. Many gathered around his shop on Sunday, struggling to believe the news.
Local sources called the situation tragic and prayed for the soul of the deceased.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement as investigations are ongoing.
