Gunmen have kidnapped a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer and a local resident in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
Security expert, Zagazola Makama reported that the incident took place around 9:00 p.m. on Nov. 9 along Asa 1, Otobi Akpa Road, Otukpo.
Sources revealed that approximately five armed men stormed the home, forcibly broke down the door, and abducted the FRSC officer, identified as Oketa Ejembi, along with a neighbour whose identity was still unknown at the time of reporting.
The victim’s son, Daniel Oketa, promptly informed the police about the attack at around 9:43 p.m.
Following the report, the Divisional Police Officer dispatched a patrol team along with tactical units to the scene.
The police command confirmed that efforts are ongoing to locate the perpetrators and secure the safe release of the victims.
Investigations into the incident have been launched by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
