Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the National Assembly, has accused FCT Minister Nyesom Wike of illegally granting massive land fee waivers to his sons.

Speaking during an interview on Arise TV on Friday, Kingibe claimed she has documents showing that Wike allocated large plots of land to his sons and approved illegal waivers that slashed their land title bills from N200 million to just N2 million within 48 hours.

“I have documents to show that Wike allocated land to his sons—huge tracts of land,” she said. “Fine, they’re his sons and are entitled to land. No problem. But when you go from a N200 million bill to just N2 million in 48 hours through a waiver he approved himself, that’s not just illegal—it’s unethical and grossly unfair.”

She accused Wike of favoritism in land allocations and of routinely granting illegal fee waivers to his relatives. Kingibe insisted that she would present the evidence before the National Assembly to demand accountability.

“I wouldn’t come here without having the facts and documentation,” she added.

The senator also alleged that Wike revoked land previously earmarked for a government general hospital in the Bwari area, with plans to replace the site with a market or shopping mall instead.
