“I apologize for the trauma caused to the candidates,” Oloyede said tearfully during a press conference in Abuja, while acknowledging the distress that the discrepancies in the examination results had caused.

Recall that Oloyede, at the start of the press briefing, acknowledged “one or two errors” made during the 2025 UTME.

This admission follows numerous complaints about inconsistencies in the results, particularly regarding discrepancies in candidates’ scores.

The board has faced severe backlash after reports revealed that approximately 379,997 candidates from the Southeast and Lagos State were affected by the errors.

JAMB has since rescheduled the examination for the candidates in an attempt to rectify the situation.
