In a statement shared via Instagram, she mentioned that she visited the Commission on May 5th, 2025, where she was shown videos of guests spraying both Naira and foreign currencies.

Surprised by the information, Iyabo admitted she was unaware that spraying foreign currencies was illegal in Nigeria. She had previously thought only mutilating the Naira was an offense.

After being questioned, she was allowed to leave the same day, with her lawyer, O.I. Salami, representing her in case she’s called for further questioning.

Praising the EFCC for their professionalism, Iyabo advised Nigerians to reconsider the practice of money spraying to avoid potential legal issues, urging caution to stay out of trouble.

In related news, Iyabo Ojo’s latest blockbuster, Labake Olododo, has grossed N253.9M and is set to hit US cinemas on May 9th.
