The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga, has announced that the president will return to Nigeria today.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will return today,” Onanuga said in a post on X.
The President has been away from the country since he departed the country to France two weeks ago on a work visit. He travelled from Paris, the capital of France, to London during the weekend.
Onanuga had informed Nigerians that the president would return to Nigeria after the Easter break.
“His return to Abuja and the resumption of duties at Aso Villa will follow the conclusion of the Easter holiday,” Onanuga said on Thursday.
While the President was away, communities in Benue and Plateau recorded violent attacks that led to the deaths of over 50 people.
