“I’m doing my white wedding in Miami, in August this year,” he said.

“Our traditional marriage shut down Nigeria because our relationship was in the public eye, and a lot have happened, apart from losing our child.”

The couple held their traditional wedding in June 2024.

He also opened up about his rift with Tiwa Savage. The songstress filed a petition against him in January 2024. She alleged threats of assault and harm after she shared a photo with Sophia Momodu, his baby mama.

Davido said their fallout stemmed from a custody dispute with Sophia, during which he expected Savage to help him gain access to his daughter.

He said the disagreement was minor, describing it as a “sibling-like argument”. He added that they have since resolved it and praised Savage for her contributions to the music industry.

“Tiwa Savage and I used to stay in the same house; she is my big sister. She saw me as a youngling,” he said.

“The situation with Tiwa was personal. She is a good friend of the mother of my first daughter. So, when we were in a quarrel over custody, I felt Tiwa could help me see my daughter, so we got into a little argument.

“It was nothing. It was just like a brother and sister arguing. I haven’t seen her since then, but she did reach out.

“I love her child, I saw him grow up. Tiwa is an amazing person; she changed the game for females in the industry, and she will always have that respect.

“That’s my sister. I will never let anything happen to her.”
