The Delta State College of Nursing Sciences in Agbor has released a statement querying a student for posting on TikTok a video of nursing students refusing to claim First Lady Remi Tinubu as their mother.
On March 25, during the First Lady’s visit to the institution, the MC is seen singing a song, referring to Senator Remi Tinubu as “our Mama” but the students refused to claim her and instead referred to her as “your Mama”.
The school has now issued a query to the student who posted the video of TikTok.
According to the letter going viral online, the nursing college accused the student of committing a “punishable offence”.
The query, issued by the Provost of the college, asked the student to write a letter within 24 hours explaining why they should not face disciplinary actions.
