DJ Cuppy has dedicated her life to Christ and has also gotten baptised in UK.

Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, professionally known as DJ Cuppy or simply Cuppy has embarked on a new chapter in her spiritual journey by getting baptized at Holy Trinity Brompton, an Anglican church in London, JomogNews Nigeria reports.

The 31-year-old announced on Friday via her social media platforms, sharing photos of the significant moment.

The photos which quickly garnered attention online, showed DJ Cuppy being immersed in water as part of the baptismal rite and emerging dressed in black.

In her announcement, she described the decision to dedicate her life to God as a profound and transformative step.

She wrote, “This summer, I made THE best decision of my life — to fully dedicate my life to God. Baptism isn’t just a ceremony; it’s a transformation. I am a new creation, reborn in His grace.

The way to live is actually to die…

Of course I am still DJ Cuppy, but now, every beat, every moment, has a deeper meaning. I see life in a new, brighter light. At 31, I finally understand what it really means to live a purpose driven life. Each day, I’m learning to live with intention, guided by something bigger than myself. Thank You, Father, for Your Salvation.”

The announcement has been met with widespread support from fans and fellow artists alike.

Gospel singer Nikki Laoye, commented, “Well done, dearie. You have always had a heart for God, and you have been serving His people. No surprises here at all. So proud of you. You are God’s light.”

DJ Cuppy had previously hinted at her spiritual transformation earlier this month when she shared her thoughts on combining her faith with her career. “I had the RARE opportunity to do the two things I love most: DJing and serving God. What a blessing! I was really nervous about curating a performance with ONLY Christian music, but God challenged and guided me through it. And please DO NOT get it twisted—Christian music is LIT! Genuinely grateful for this journey and for the chance to share my faith through music!” she posted on Instagram.

The music star made the revelation during an appearance on the Mic On podcast, where he spoke honestly about lessons learned from difficult moments in his life and career.

According to the father of six, there are several situations he wishes he had approached differently, especially those shaped by emotional pressure and stress.

While speaking on the podcast, 2Baba also revisited a controversial incident in London involving a disagreement with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, which led to his arrest in October 2025.

Why My Kids Are No Longer On My Social Media – Yul Edochie

Actor Yul Edochie has clarified that his decision to stop posting photos of his children with his estranged wife, May Edochie, is not due to estrangement but due to a legal mandate.

Speaking in a recent interview on the KaaTruths podcast, Yul said he maintains regular contact with his children and continues to support them financially, including covering aspects of their university education.

“I am in contact with my children. I have heard a lot of things. About people saying ‘he abandoned his children’. My second son just got into the university months ago. He just did his matriculation a few days back. Infact, he told me a day before time, and I told him I was busy. “The main issue is not on social media. I would rather not say anything. I don’t want to say my ex-wife did this, my ex-wife did that. Real men don’t tackle issues like that. It is all family stuff , nobody is perfect,” he said.

The actor attributed his silence on social media about his children to a court order related to his ongoing divorce case with May, citing their safety.

“There is also a court order. There is a divorce case going on. That is why I cannot really speak. It says anything that has to do with the children, for their own safety, I should not post,” he added.

Yul and May’s divorce proceedings, initiated in 2023, have been stalled over issues like marriage dissolution terms and adultery claims.

Yul married actress Judy Austin as his second wife in 2022, prompting May to file for divorce and seek N100 million in damages.
