In a media parley with Journalists, Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo enumerated the various achievements his administration has recorded since its inception and unveiled his next phase of developmental initiatives geared towards realizing the vision of making life better for the residents of the LCDA.

Mayor Dele Oshinowo’s leadership approach, characterized by inclusivity, responsiveness and a keen emphasis on grassroots development, has significantly impacted the council’s trajectory.

Agboyi-Ketu LCDA is now a community witnessing transformative changes in Infrastructure, Education, Health, Environment, Agriculture, Social Development and Technology.

According to Mayor Oshinowo, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA focused heavily on infrastructural projects, realizing the significance of robust infrastructure for socio-economic growth.

Major development includes housing schemes, site and service schemes, improved road networks, transportation facilities and public building renovations.

Furthermore, Mayor Oshinowo praised the Executive Governor of Lagos, His Excellency Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu for his massive support towards the actualisation of this dream. “We are about to launch 170 units of 2 bedroom apartments and 102 units of 4 bedroom apartments, that is a total of 271 units of apartments. Residents enjoy 18 hours power supply.
Commissioning of these projects will be anytime soon”, the chairman added.

It is interesting to note that although the sale of the houses increased from N15.5 million to N16.5 million and then to N18.5 million, about 80 per cent of the apartments have been bought by the public and community residents are already occupying their apartments.

As regards Infrastructure to bridge the gap in the housing sector, Greenwich Gardens with one hundred and one (101) apartments,
Raymond Estate with sixty-four (64) apartments and Sterling Heights with one hundred and six (106) apartments were constructed.

Still speaking to reporters, Mayor Oshinowo said that his next project will be the construction of 248 units of 4-bedroom apartments amongst other things.

In addition, Mayor Oshinowo said that his LCDA partners with Google and Microsoft to provide ICT training to residents at the ICT Hub; all they need to do is log in and book a session.

After the press conference, Mayor Dele Oshinowo and his team led the journalists on a tour to inspect his developmental housing projects.

The Tour started from the beautiful Greenwich Gardens to Raymond Estate and Sterling Heights (affordable housing estates for residents in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA).
