The Chief Judge of Ondo State, Justice Olusegun Odusola, has sworn in Lucky Aiyedatiwa as governor following Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s demise.
Aiyedatiwa was sworn in at the governor’s office in Akure at exactly 5:14 pm
Justice Olusegun Odosola administered the oath of office at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s office in Akure.
Present at the ceremony include the Speaker of the state House of Assembly Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, members of the assembly, the secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu and the state chairman of the ruling party APC, Ade Adetimehin.
Others include members of the EXCO, political office holders and other party members.
Recall that Akeredolu died at age 67 in Germany in the early hours of Wednesday after a protracted leukaemia.
On December 12, the late Governor handed over power to Aiyedatiwa ahead of another period of medical leave.
