The death was announced on Sunday evening by the church’s Secretary General, Ademola Odetundun.

In a statement made available to Newsmen on Monday titled “Transition to glory,” Odetundun said, “With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well spent, we announce the transition to glory of our father, grandfather, great grandfather, the spiritual father and chairman of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church worldwide Ayo ni o, His Grace Baba Aladura, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, who passed unto glory today, November 12, 2023 around 10am at a ripe age.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace and may God grant the Church the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“Burial arrangement will be announced later.”

It was also gathered that the remains of the spiritual father have been taken to a mortuary pending the decision of the church on the burial arrangement.

Talking about some of his achievements, some church members pointed at the movement of the seat of power of the church from Kaduna to Galilee, located in Orile-Igbon, Oyo State, “which has now become a mega city”.

His father was Odetundun Abegunde, Oba Olomu of Omu Aran, which was in Ilorin Province at the time.
