The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, Adebayo Adewole, has accused the Labour Party, LP; the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; and the All Progressives Congress, APC; of cheating during the last presidential and National Assembly election.

According to him, all the political parties, even those complaining after the election, cheated through different means, especially vote-buying.

Adewole, who appeared on Arise Television’s The Morning Show on Friday, specifically accused the Labour Party of sharing dollars to the electorate in his own polling unit in Ondo State during the polls.

He accused INEC of aiding cheating which affects its credibility and then called on the President-elect to reach out to the aggrieved contestants.

“PDP, LP got their piece of INEC’s cheating. My agents were telling me how they were changing results. In Imo, Abia, Anambra and others, it was all cheating for the Labour Party. Same with PDP in the northern states. APC has the universal license to cheat. That is what they all did because vote-buying is cheating.

“Where the person who cheated in the East claims to be cheated in another part, those who cheated in the North blamed another who did the same. Some of the persons who cheated and were not successful are blaming the person who cheated and is successful,” Adewole stated.

He also flayed INEC calling it “a crime syndicate demanding dollars to make politicians winners.” INEC, he alleged, has highly dishonest staff.

“A victim cannot be blaming other victims. I never said nothing is wrong with the election. Everything is wrong with the election. Anyone who wants to go and challenge the election should do so because everything is wrong with the election,” Adewole said.

“But it’s not only what happened that day that was wrong with the election. People (political parties] cheated. Many of those who are complaining now cheated in the election. In the polling unit where I voted, Labour Party cheated, PDP cheated and the APC cheated more because vote buying is cheating.

“APC used recharge cards to cheat, the Labour Party brought dollars and PDP shared money. Why will I not complain? Atiku Abubakar cheated me of my vote in Katsina and Adamawa State, he was buying votes with N200. What I’m saying is that the election is flawed. It’s not an honest process.”

Adewole said further: “Those who are claiming foul play should be honest. PDP and LP cannot claim they won the same election. Now you are blaming INEC; in a year, they will blame the judiciary because they have raised the hopes of their supporters. The BVAS (the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System) is in the hands of the political armed robbers.”

INEC declared Tinubu the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
