Videos: Mercy Aigbe’s Sister Burns Down Their Mother’s House
Last Friday, neighbours of the mother of actress, Mercy Aigbe watched as her sister, Patience, who is said to be a gynecologist came to her mother’s house and smashed the windscreen, side windows and lights on the car belonging to her mother.
She took her anger another step further when she came back on Tuesday morning to burn down their mother’s house.
It took the intervention of residents in the area to get fire fighters to the house to quench the fire, so it doesn’t spread to other houses, especially the school near the house.
Children in the school were seen being evacuated from the building.
Eye witnesses said the fire was so bad that the house was completely destroyed, with nothing left to salvage.
According to those living around the neighborhood, the house belonged to Mercy’s mother’s late husband, who she has a son for.
She was living in the mini duplex given to her son by his late father, while other flats (that were not affected by the fire) belong to the other children of the late man from his previous marriage.
Dr Patience, however, succeeded in burning down her half brother’s inheritance, which is the detached house behind the main building in front.
After burning the building, Dr Patience went on to report herself to the police.
At the time she embarked on burning the house, their mother was said to be with Mercy, who later came to the house with her mother in a black keep to access the damage done to the house.
Those in the know are claiming that Dr Patience had accused the old woman of witch craft activity done against her, to the advantage of her other popular daughter, Mercy Aigbe.
Dr Patience was heard shouting that she is the one that will kill their mother ,confirming people’s suspicion that she had planned to burn the old woman in the house if she had been in the house that morning.
Those in the area said she had been manifesting mental instability for a while, insisting that her mother is the one deterring her progress.
Her anger, it was gathered, stemmed from the old woman’s refusal to help her pay up a N800,000 loan she had taken and needed to pay up.
The children of the late man who the old woman was married to are now worried that Dr Patience might come back to do worse to their father’s property if they don’t take any action against her quickly.
As things stands, Mercy’s mother doesn’t have a house to come back to, as the house is totally destroyed.
Those in the know said Dr Patience and Mercy are actually half sisters, who share the same mother but different fathers, as their mother had children for several men.

Rotimi Salami In Tears As ‘Kilanko’ Struggles At Box Office
Nollywood actor and producer Rotimi Salami recently expressed deep concern over the poor performance and low audience turnout for his latest film, “Kilanko,” in Nigerian cinemas.
The movie, which hit theaters on March 6, 2026, was a labor of love that took three years to produce and was directed by the late Allwell Ademola.
In an Instagram post, Salami, in a video with veteran actress Yetunde Wunmi, revealed that the movie’s weekend sales were disappointing, putting it at risk of removal from theaters.
Appealing to fans for support, Salami thanked those who attended promotional events and screenings, but acknowledged that the turnout was lower than expected.
He warned that if sales do not improve by the weekend, the film may be pulled from cinemas prematurely.
He wrote, “I am making this post with a heavy heart. Kilanko sales at the cinemas last weekend weren’t good. That’s why I couldn’t post throughout yesterday.
“Still, I say a very big thank you to everyone who came out at different times for the meet-and-greet, and likewise to everyone who came out to watch, but the numbers are pretty small.
“If Kilanko doesn’t make the expected figure by this weekend. It might be kicked out of the cinemas even before Ramadan is over. Please, we need all the support we can get to reach a retainable figure.
“Kilanko is surely a beautiful movie that everyone must see. Thank you, mama @yetunde_wunmi_ for the prayers”.
