The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has urged party members in the North-East to do more before the 2023 elections.
He spoke in Gombe on Saturday during the wedding reception of Misbahu Yahaya, son of Governor Inuwa Yahaya.
The former Lagos governor reminded APC followers that his running mate, Kashim Shettima, hails from the region.
Tinubu thanked party members and supporters for what they have been doing for him.
“Now that your son is equally the running mate you have to double your efforts, and you have to do more.
“I challenge you to do more than what you have done in the past”, NAN quoted him saying.
President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan described the North-East as Tinubu’s second zone after the South-West.
Shettima said political activities would soon commence, adding that, “the North-East is an APC domain more so one of you is a running mate.”
