Report has it that guns, knives, horns and other dangerous weapons were employed by the thugs during the attack.

The Informant247 gathered that the invaders also set on fire several vehicles and motorcycles which belonged to some PDP members.

The house of the youth leader of the party in Iyale was also set ablaze.

“There is serious tension in Dekina LGA. The thugs came to the PDP youth meeting venue yesterday at Ologba, destroyed properties, burnt vehicles and motorcycles,” one of the sources said.

The Informant247 recalls that in November 2019, the woman leader of the party in Ochadamu Ward, Ofu Local Government Area, Mrs Acheju Abuh was burnt alive in her home by suspected political thugs.

She was sleeping in her house when political invaders set the house on fire.

The spokesperson of the police in the state, SP William Ovye Aya, was not able to respond to his calls and text messages, as at press time.
