Hallmark Publisher, Emeka Obasi Dies At 58

A former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Abia State and the Publisher, Hallmark Newspapers, Chief Emeka Obasi has been confirmed dead.

The late veteran journalist hailed from Umuaroko Azueke Ndume Ibeku, in Umuahia North local Government Area of Abia State.

He passed on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at a hospital in Lagos, aged 58 years.

The unfortunate demise of the veteran Publisher was announced by the deceased’s son, Prince Emeka Obasi (Jnr), on behalf of the family.

The Late Emeka Obasi is survived by wife, children, aunties and uncles.

The statement partly read, “Prince Emeka Obasi of the Hallmark Newspapers takes bow at 58.

“The family of Prince Emeka Obasi announces the passing unto glory of Prince Emeka Obasi, Ezenwata, Ibeku Kingdom.

“Prince Emeka, the Publisher of Hallmark Newspapers passed on, Tuesday March 15, 2022 at a Lagos hospital.

“He is survived by wife, Dr (Mrs) Betty Obasi and Children – Emeka (jnr), Onyedikachi, Kamsi, Miracle, siblings, aunties and uncles.

“Further burial arrangements will be announced in due course”.
