Igboho who was recently released from the Benin republic for health reasons said he was shocked when Momodu risked everything to pay him a visit while in prison.

Igboho said: “I was very surprised that Chief Momodu could do this when many big people were even afraid to speak up for me.

“He prayed for me and told me to be calm and await God’s intervention.

“He said all he wants is peace and that he will reach out to every part of Nigeria.”

After the news of Sunday Igboho’s release, Momodu took to his Instagram account to celebrate the activist.

He wrote: “Last night, I was overjoyed to receive the news of CHIEF SUNDAY IGBOHO ADEYEMO’s release from detention in Cotonou and I immediately reached out to him via WhatsApp. The original OMOLUWABI responded with an effigy of prostration and ‘Thanks so much sir.’ I will continue to engage critical stakeholders wherever they may be…

“May the good Lord grant our leaders the wisdom to accommodate and seek peace with every Nigerian.”
