We Feared Military Missiles More Than Our Abductors During 56-Day Ordeal — Rescued Oyo Principal

We have the information that the residential house of Chief Sunday Adeyemo, otherwise known as Sunday Igboho who is illegally detained in Benin Republic as a result of his agitation for his people and nation was under attack too by some hoodlums.

This seemed to be the culmination of severe violent attacks on persons and properties in the last few days from a cross section of unknown gun men parading and wreaking havoc in the ancient city resulting in several deaths and damages to properties running into millions of Naira.

We are saddened by the fact that we are yet to notice any efforts by the state government at curbing the violence and bringing the culprits to justice.

We therefore call on governor Seyi Makinde as the Chief Security Officer of the state to take prompt action at bringing peace and security back to the state and the city in particular.

It is also imperative for the governor as an Omoluabi to ensure compensations are paid to all those who were hurt and bereaved in all the attacks.

We enjoin the governor to rise up in defence of the citizens he had sworn to constitutionally to protect by doing the needful and eschew politics.

We wish the government and the people of Oyo State well while we commiserate with them.
