The decision of the owners of the two very popular radio stations to move the radio show to Splash FM was officially announced by the management on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 by Mr Tunde Olawuwo, the General Manager in charge of the broadcasting outfit.

According to Olawuwo, Parrot Xtra Hour that used to run on Lagelu FM between 8 and 9pm on Tuesdays will now be aired between 11am and 12 noon on the same day on Splash FM’s platform.

While reacting, Olayinka Agboola, who is also the Publisher of Parrot Xtra Magazine and the online version, PMParrot.com expressed appreciation to the management of West Midlands Communications Ltd for the opportunity to be on air to express himself.

His words “I am specifically grateful to Agba Oye, our Daddy, Baba Adebayo Akande, Mrs Atinuke Adetunji, Tunde Olawuwo, Dr Kola Ladoke, Kola Ladapo, Josh Olusola and several others especially our online publisher friends, for their support in the past couple of months that we have spent running our show on Lagelu FM.

“At Parrot Xtra Media Network, our belief is that we must remain as professional as possible. In addition, we will continue to strive to do our best. We are always proud to say it that, by God’s grace, what we are doing with our Radio Show has not been duplicated anywhere in Nigeria.

“When we feature our celebrity guests on the show, we transcribe whatever we discuss, send to our partnering online publishers to accommodate, later, we publish in our glossy Parrot Xtra Magazine with pictures.”

Parrot Xtra Hour that hit the airwaves on January 7, 2020 has featured several prominent Nigerians and has since been making waves as one of the must-listen-to radio shows in the country.# END
