The incident led to pandemonium in Ojodu area as students and hoodlums went on rampage, burning four police vehicles and the truck.

Massive deployment of policemen to the area saved the day.

Early Wednesday, students of the school and their parents were said to have protested the killing of two students and injuring of 12 others.

It was gathered that some parents were angry that the school re-opened for normal activities after students died.

Following the protest, the Lagos State Government shuts down the school and asked all students to go back home.

The government said the move was to commiserate with families of the victims and to address all the issues raised by the parents and other stakeholders.

Announcing the development on Wednesday, Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo, who visited the school and the injured students, said that the visit was to ascertain what transpired and commiserated with the deceased students’ families, their teachers and colleagues.

Adefisayo said the state government will release an “explicit” statement later in the day containing an official death count and more details about what led to the tragic accident.
