The Nigerian Army has tagged as “fake news” a report which claimed that “six Christian Igbo soldiers” were secretly executed by the military in Abuja after a hasty trial in which they were allegedly denied legal representation of their choice.
The said report dated February 2, 2021, was published on a platform known as News Express.
The controversial news story contained pictures of four of the men alleged to have been among those executed.
However, in a statement via Twitter, the army described the report as ‘Fake News’.
