The last may not have been heard with the recent announcement of the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
In a related development, musician, Davido has put up a post saying that he would be meeting the IGP tomorrow. On his Instagram handle @davidoofficial, he shared a tweet which reads:
“I am meeting with the Inspector General of Police tommorrow 10am…All of my colleagues, if you can get to Abuja tommorow before 10am and follow me to the meeting, it would mean a lot.”
It will be recalled that there have been Nationwide protests calling for the end of the SARS with the hashtag #EndSars with the government finally yeilding to the requests of the people.
