Chris, on his verified Twitter handle (@IhebuzoC) demonstrated that the firewalls built around Access Bank network are vulnerable.

The hacker claimed he gained access to the bank system and extracted the data of over 2,000 customers.

In a viral video, he showed the print out of the customer accounts including their BVN, account numbers and other personal details.

Chris claimed he didn’t plan to steal money from the accounts, according to the

video, but he wanted to show that the Access Bank computers are vulnerable.

According to him, he could debit customers’ accounts without their consent owing to the information he has.

He claimed he went deep into the Bank’s computer without their permission.

He blamed the bank for loose security, saying he is not a staff but only a guy with a computer.

Meanwhile, Access Bank has assured its customers of the safety of their personal information.
The bank said in a statement: “A video of an individual claiming to be in possession of our customers’ banking details such as BVN and Account Number, has been brought to our notice.

“We urge all customers to remain calm as there is no security breach. We are working with the appropriate authority to bring the perpetrator to book.

“Kindly note that our customers’ financial security is a top priority and we will never disclose any information that will jeopardize your safety.”
