Further evidence has revealed how Ibrahim Mustafa Magu, the former acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) allegedly demanded for bribe to unfreeze a suspect’s account.

According to Denisaurus News, the Federal High Court in Abuja had ordered the EFCC led by Magu, to unfreeze the account of of Damjay Integrated Services Ltd, but instead of obeying the law, the suspended anti-graft boss refused and a request of N75 million was made for the court judgment to be adhered to.

The 58-year-old former acting chairman of the anti-graft agency, who is being investigated for fraud, diversion of assets and billions of naira, allegedly asked Donald Wokoma, the CEO of Damjay Integrated Services Ltd to pay the money in three tranches into three accounts associated to officials working with Magu, known as the “Magu Boys.”

Denisaurus News obtained communication held on WhatsApp with instructions of the said payment.

Victor Giwa, a barrister who allegedly negotiated the movement of the money to Mr Magu’s proxies, has now been arrested by security operatives.

Two recordings of Giwa passing instructions to his client on the process of payment to Mr Magu has been obtained by Denisaurus News.

Mr Magu, the only person to have been rejected as chairman of the EFCC, was described as a “perennial offender,” and a “liability” to the corruption fight of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Department of State Services, DSS, which wrote the indicting report against Mr Magu, which led to his rejection by the senate, also noted that he used fronts and proxies and he was living beyond his means.

Alleged Organ Harvesting: Ukpo Offered To Donate Kidney To My Daughter – Ekweremadu

The erstwhile deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, said David Ukpo offered to donate his kidney to his daughter, Sonia.

To this end, Ekweremadu said he facilitated Ukpo’s trip to London for the organ transplant.

Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, were arrested in London and charged to court for allegedly bringing a minor into the United Kingdom, UK, for organ harvesting.

The lawmaker and his wife are currently remanded in London, while the trial for alleged organ harvest continues.

However, Ekweremadu’s lawyer, Chief Adegboyega Awomolo, said Sonia has been suffering from kidney failure for the past five years.

Addressing the Abuja Federal High Court, Awomolo said Ukpo informed Ekweremadu that he was 21 years old.

He said: “The applicants have a daughter named Sonia Ekweremadu, who is suffering from kidney failure and the applicants have been managing it for about five years.

“The said daughter of the applicants urgently needed a kidney transplant to save her life.

“David Nwamini Ukpo, offered to donate one of his kidneys to the daughter of the applicants if his kidney is compatible with that of Miss Sonia Ekweremadu.

“Ukpo informed the applicants that he is twenty-one years of age, having been born in the year 2000.

“The 1st applicant supported the visa application of Ukpo to the UK with a letter to the British High Commission in Nigeria, explaining the purpose of the visit – to enable him to undergo a medical examination in the UK so that the donor and Sonia Ekweremadu get the best of medical attention.

“After conducting various medical tests, the Royal Free Hospital in London decided that the said Ukpo was not a suitable donor because his kidney is not compatible with that of Sonia Ekweremadu.”

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria said Ukpo was asked to return to Nigeria after the test, but he approached the UK authorities and sought to be prevented from returning to Nigeria.

“Ukpo told the UK police that he is fifteen years of age contrary to the information supplied to the applicants by the same Ukpo.

“The said Ukpo is presently in care in the custody of British Authorities and he cannot be accessed by the applicants,” he said.

Yahoo Boys: Police React To Viral Video Of Lady Stripped Naked, Barking Like Dog

The Ogun State Police Command has reacted to a viral video of a young lady who was naked and barking like a dog in a police cell in the state.

A video of the lady, whose name has yet to be identified, surfaced online on Friday.

The lady was said to have stripped herself and barked like a dog in the cell after she was alleged to have been spiritually and diabolically used by a suspected internet fraudster, popularly called Yahoo boy, in the state.

Reacting to the incident, the Ogun State Police Command, in a statement issued by its spokesman, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the young lady was brought to the police station naked, adding that she was acting violently, which made the police lock her in the cell.

Oyeyemi noted that the lady has since been taken to the hospital for treatment, noting that the alleged internet fraudster has been arrested by police operatives.

The police spokesperson stated: “She was brought into the police station naked and was very difficult to control because she was acting violently hence she was kept in the cell.

“Immediately she was brought to the station, her parents were contacted and she was taken to the hospital for medical attention with the help of the police, while the alleged Yahoo boy was immediately arrested for interrogation.

“The case which attracted multitude of people to the station was transferred to the State Criminal investigation department for discreet investigation on the order of Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole.

“The Command was surprised and embarrassed to see the video of the victim circulating on social media. The height of the embarrassment was the fact that the said video was recorded while the victim who was then naked and uncontrollable was in police cell.”

Oyeyemi added that the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, has ordered an investigation to unravel the source of the video and how it became “a subject of social media discussion”.

“It is barbaric, uncivilised and despicable circulating such video on social media as such will in no small measure denigrate the human dignity of the victim which might be another source of psychological trauma for her.

“The Command has therefore vowed to deal with whoever found to be the source of the video and those behind its circulation on social media in the most decisive manner notwithstanding the status of the person,” the police spokesman said.
