According to a report published by a US trained Investigative Journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, through her twitter handle said the federal government is about taking the nation into another total lockdown.

Kemi tweeted:

#BREAKING ASO Rock is planning a TOTAL #LOCKDOWN till November 2020.

This is coming few days after the Nigeria Education Minister, Adamu Adamu put a stop on schools reopening plans and publicly said the 2020 West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) earlier schedule to commence August 4th till September 5th will not hold. He further added that “this is the best time to impose a lockdown”. Ever since this briefing was made, the thought of another total lockdown has been trailing the mind of virtually all Nigerians.

It would be worthy of note that 664 new cases of Covid-19 were recently confirmed, taking the total numbers of the confirmed virus cases in Nigeria to 31, 987 with 13,103 discharged and 724 victims dead as reported by the Nigeria Centers for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday, 11th of July through their twitter handle.

Reactions have been going round getting most concerned Nigerians talking in line with this statement, “the issue is not the lockdown but how ready are we and what are the measures put in place to ease the burdens the lockdown carries?”-Oriretan Damilola, acting secretary to Ilaje Association, Delta Chapter said in a little chat with GGB reporters

GGB reporters gathered comments as follow: @MistaFrank_-“they should just sell this country and share the money to all citizens let’s go and hustle for citizenship in other countries naa“

“What’s the lockdown for again, haven’t they looted enough, what palliative will feed people that go out to earn 2k daily. Abeg make them stop the Aluta Continua strategies all in the name of COVID-19”-@Dami_llionaire

@val_ononye- “They shouldn’t try that shit”

“Hope the lockdown is only for Aso Rock ooooo”-@jaznasnbc
